About

Born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Daryl began playing guitar at the age of eight. Coming from a very musical family, he was immersed in all different styles of music from a very early age and by the age of 15 was playing school dances and parties with a local rock band. Other bands with older and more experienced musicians gave him a shot and bigger and better gigs soon followed. These groups provided valuable training in becoming a professional musician.  After honing his skills on the Southwest Michigan bar circuit, Daryl left as one of the areas most in demand players and relocated to sunny South Florida where he has been a mainstay in the South Florida music scene ever since. He has performed, recorded, and toured with various local and national artists from the southeast US to Mexico, played with bands such as Rockstreet, Sterling Road, 976, RISE, Hush Hush, Crisis, The Max Band, The Shanna Crooks Band, Cool Breeze, and countless others in small clubs to concert venues and outdoor music festivals. Daryl has shared the stage with members of Iron Butterfly, Blues Image, Steppenwolf, Humble Pie, The Velvettes, and Stranger. He appeared in the movie “The Boynton Beach Club” with the Fabulons, a popular local oldies band, and has also served in the music ministries of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, Calvary West, Calvary West Boca, Church by The Glades, Grace Road, The Journey Boca Raton, New Covenant, and Reveal Fellowship. Currently he plays the part of George Harrison in the popular Florida based Beatles tribute band Across The Universe and freelances in several other projects.

The past sixteen years have lead him down the path of sharing his passion for music and guitar playing with others through teaching. In addition to his performance schedule, he manages to maintain a large roster of eager guitar students.
